At the heart of Cosmos is the idea that sovereignty and interoperability are the keys to a sustainable civilization. Communities across the globe, of varying scales, should be sovereign over the infrastructure and applications that dominate their lives. And such sovereign communities should be interoperable with one another, able to successfully cooperate despite their differences. Since 2016., Cosmos has been pursuing this vision by developing an Internet of Blockchains. The Cosmos Technology stack allows developers to build application-specific blockchains tuned to the needs of particular communities and use-cases. In this talk, Ethan Buchman, co-founder of Cosmos, outlines the vision for Cosmos and what is to come in this new era of Community Computers.
