In June we finalized a lot of work that has been ongoing and cut several releases.
ICS v2 is a release of ICS which integrates all of the improvements we have made to the protocol since it launched earlier this year, but does not include an upgrade to Cosmos SDK 0.47.
ICS v3 contains all the improvements of ICS v2, but also upgrades the entire library to Cosmos SDK 0.47. This enables consumer chains running 0.47, like Stride, and also is a key step in getting the Cosmos Hub upgraded to Cosmos SDK 0.47 and future versions.
We covered some of the work involved in this upgrade in previous updates, but on June 21st, v10 went live. The upgrade was smooth and uneventful and the Cosmos Hub was back up in minutes.
We supported Stride during the preparations for their July launch, as well as working with Stride, Iqlusion, and Binary builders on a long term plan for LSM maintenance.
