Infrastructure Engineer

Informal Systems is a full-suite Research & Development institution. We work on bold research problems at the intersection of formal verification and distributed systems and develop high-value distributed systems infrastructure in Rust.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will help maintain and advance the robust and reliable infrastructure of a Proof of Stake (PoS) Validator. You will act as an active member in PoS validator communities, and help support the infrastructure needs of Informal’s product offerings. The validator currently supports the Cosmos Network and you will help expand it to support more PoS networks.

What your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain, improve and architect new datacenter presence
  • Investigate other proof-of-stake blockchain networks and implement new projects
  • Help to build and maintain company community presence in telegram groups, online forums etc.
  • Maintain, improve and architect new AWS infrastructure

What we look for in a successful Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Experience with Cisco router and managed firewall understanding and programming knowledge
  • Experience with IPSec VPN usage, basic understanding and configuring knowledge
  • Experience with Dell Poweredge hands-on experience, iDRAC configuration and usage knowledge and small-scale data centre experience
  • Experience with CentOS Linux server user knowledge and filesystem experience
  • Experience with creating monitoring configurations and monitoring the above technologies (Datadog, Zabbix, etc)
  • Experience with Amazon AWS EC2, Route53, VPC networking configuration knowledge
  • Experience with Hashicorp Terraform HCL language, especially with the AWS provider
  • General Github and Git knowledge
  • Some experience with HTML5 and CSS
